As a brand, we have consistently focused on innovation in an effort to improve our bikes and expand our product offerings. With over 12 years of experience as an industry leader in innovation, Spawn Cycles has tons of options for young riders ranging from balance bikes to cross-country trail bikes, purpose-built dirt jumpers and even adjustable geometry full-suspension models.
Spawn Cycles was founded by Max and Elena Zureski in 2011 and is still a family-owned company based in beautiful Squamish, British Columbia, Canada.
We began searching for a lightweight first pedal bike for our 2-year-old son in 2011. What we found was disappointing - nothing seemed to have changed in kids' bikes in decades - they were heavy, poorly constructed and almost impossible for a young child to pedal unassisted. Armed with the knowledge that better bikes were needed and possible, we set out to change the kids' bikes industry and launched Spawn Cycles.
In order to expand our capabilities as a brand, we also launched a separate component line along the way. Brood Bike Co. was born in 2015 to fill the void in the market for high-quality, kid-specific bike components, as what WE needed could not be found in the sprawling catalogues of conventional and oftentimes sub-par components used by everyone else.
Over the years, we have travelled the world as a sponsor of youth-focused MTB events and formed a team of ambassadors consisting of some of the world's top emerging young riders many of whom have since moved on to becoming MTB pros!
